FAQs

What is the best attire for a pilates class?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes. Avoid baggy clothes or anything with zippers/buttons that could damage equipment or impede movement.

What should I wear on my feet?

You'll work out in grip socks for hygiene and safety. Grippy socks can often be purchased at the studio.

Can I wear jewelry to class?

No, you should not wear jewelry to a Pilates reformer class because it can get caught on the equipment, potentially causing injury to yourself or damage to the reformer, and it can be a distraction from your workout. It's best to remove rings, bracelets, and necklaces and store them safely before class begins.

Can I bring water to class?

It's great to stay hydrated during and after class. Please feel free to bring a spill-proof water bottle into the studio!

What should I avoid bringing to class?

Please avoid bringing food, gum, candy or any open containers into the studio. Please leave your belongings in the provided storage cubbies.

Can I have my phone with me to make calls or video record my class?

Please avoid bringing your cell phone into the studio, it's important to take the time to connect mind and body.  So take this time to focus on your pilates practice. If you would like to take a photo of yourself you must not include any other members unless you have asked for consent. Please avoid video recording class flows!

Can I take class if I am pregnant?

Pilates is safe, during pregnancy with modifications.  Our owner Joanne Dal Bon is certified by The Center for Women's Fitness on Pre and Post natal Pilates Equipment. Please provide a note from your obstetrician clearing you to take class and be sure to inform your instructor so they can provide modifications and a pilates wedge for you during supine and side-lying work.

What if I need to cancel class?

We require all clients to cancel their own bookings online via their account at least 12 hours before the start of their session.

All cancellations made within 12 hours of the start time are subject to a penalty.
